OUR mission

Founded in 2003, Nichole Weddings and Events is a boutique wedding planning firm located on O’ahu, Hawai’i and services all of the Hawaiian Islands. We are passionate about our couples and their unique love stories and are dedicated to providing thoughtful service and memorable events. We take care of all of the minute details so our couples can have FUN and enjoy the planning process and their wedding day to the fullest.

Nichole, Founder & Principle Planner

Born in a small town in the Midwest, Nichole was raised with a strong work ethic and developed unquestionable integrity and principled values. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Minnesota, she held several positions in catering and event planning before relocating to Hawai’i in 2001.

It was as catering director for a private downtown club in Honolulu, together with the fact that she is a romantic at heart, that inspired her to enter the wedding industry in 2003. Nichole’s calm demeanor, aesthetic, ability to understand and execute her client’s vision, and excellent vendor relationships come together to create the perfect fusion of function and style.

When not planning weddings she can be found (much to her 14 year old son’s dismay) singing in the car on the way to one of Hawai’i’s famous beaches, walking her 12 year old “puppy” Garth, in the kitchen baking her families favorite goodies (which almost makes up for her singing in her son’s eyes), or dreaming about her next trip to Italy.

You are amazing! Thank you for all the hard work, time and love you put into making sure our big day was special and as stress free as possible. Not only are you fantastic at what you do (seasoned, professional, five star status), but you do it all with effortless class and warmth. Nichole, you’re always positive and “will take care of it, no problem” attitude and personality was a true blessing for me. You made it enjoyable to work with you and your friendly nature, great sense of humor and charming personality. You have been an angel in disguise and helped prevent some major bride breakdowns. Chelsea, Lead Planner

Chelsea has been with Nichole Weddings & Events since 2016 and is an invaluable part of the team. Her upbeat and friendly personality puts everyone at ease, while her desire for perfection and relentless organizational skills insure her clients their dream wedding will happen without a hitch! Chelsea’s creativity and fresh, modern sensibility are key attributes when helping her brides and grooms bring their vision to life.

Chelsea is a graduate of the University of Hawai’i with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the prestigious Shidler College of Business. Chelsea’s wedding planning experience has been exclusive to Hawai’i, so she possesses a great deal of knowledge in O’ahu weddings as well as other islands.

Together with her husband, she has lived on O’ahu for over 8 years and truly loves the island life. The culture, the tradition, and the beauty of Hawai’i inspires her both personally and professionally, bringing joy to her life and the lives of those around her.

Chelsea was an absolutely fantastic wedding planner! She was so quick to answer any questions/emails that I had and was incredibly friendly. She had great ideas and kept me in the loop the whole way while keeping the budget in mind. I had so many compliments on my wedding and it’s all thanks to her and the team at Nichole Weddings. They are worth every penny and kept me stress free.

Kayleigh, Planner

Kayleigh joined Nichole Weddings & Events in 2019. She is a hopeless romantic, extremely detail oriented, and loves logistics. She was born and raised in Michigan and has worked in the hospitality industry for the past 18 years. Kayleigh realized she had a passion for planning events and social gatherings at a young age and received her bachelors degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Event Coordination from Grand Valley State University. She has been planning weddings in Hawai’i since 2014 on all of the major islands and believes planning weddings is truly her life's passion.

Kayleigh’s favorite things are being outside, flowers, traveling, a good drink, and delicious food.

Thank you so much for all your hard work to make this wedding happen! What started off as a basic, simple wedding quickly turned into an architect’s chaos building project, and add a boat full of explosives with surround sound everywhere... you really pulled it through! You can do anything! So many people have called and emailed saying it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to and I have given you most of the credit! Thank you for doing what you do best! Your staff was awesome! The mood was great! Your magic dust worked and it was truly a magical night! Thanks! You Rock!

Thank you for putting together the most magical afternoon / evening / wedding in the WORLD. Everything was seriously perfect and it is all because of you. Chris and I were able to enjoy the entire event from start to finish, and we never stressed during the day about anything because we knew you were all over it.

I had a hard time articulating my vision throughout the entire planning process but we truly couldn’t have dreamt of a better wedding than what you put together. Everyone we’ve talked to said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to - from the venue, to the food, to the drinks, to the music, it was just perfection. Even the rain was a moment I will never forget!
